Dais President:
Elaine West
Dais Secretary:
Lorraine Foran
“Forum has been an enjoyable part of my life and … I love it. If I were to try to explain what Forum is all about… I could say it is like a Star Trek voyage. To those of you who not familiar with Star Trek and its many manifestations - I am sure you will get the drift.
Forum encourages you:
· To go boldly where you have not gone before
· To seek out new experiences
· To accept new challenges
· To explore the new and the unknown
· To be logical in the development of your speeches
· To develop your neural pathways to think clearly and speak truly
· To remember the prime directive… to never be silent when you ought to speak
As you begin your Forum journey – you will encounter new entities – like The Dais, (the governing body).
Within Forum it is about the journey, not the destination as we engage in public speaking, not at warp speed but our own speed.
As your Forum journey continues you will experience the space time continuum where space and time become as one - where the space in your mind fills with Forum speech ideas.
Sometimes we encounter difficulties but we must Kling-on to the objects to maintain freedom of speech, develop good communication skills and promote loyal fellowship.
We give thanks to the Founders for providing us this mission to promote self confidence
and improve communication skills and… the tools for this enterprise for our Forum
members to live long and prosper.“ Margaret, Northgate.
“Prior to entering Parliament I was very involved in my family business as well as my career as a vocational teacher. In my community I enjoyed membership of Forum Communicators for many years where I honed my speaking skills to enhance my involvement in many community organisations.”
Rosemary Menkens – Qld Member of Parliament Burdekin
